The D41 is a prized guitar with outstanding appointments and sound that matches and is second to none. The sitka top has a very tight grain structure and inlay work is small hexigonal with the timeless CMF headstock inlay. Rosewood back and sides also has a great grain structure and is quite beautiful. Having played most of the 40 series instruments, IMO, the D41 has a dominant role in the Martin line up with outstanding accoustics and sustain for any genre of music. The dreadnought shape and tone woods create a power projection with an underlying complexity. Action setup is low and allows for finger style play to strum. The satin back neck finish is smooth and comfortable slide and play with barres up and down. I have come to appreciate the various models of Martins and what they do sonically, which is why there is always one more in the works. The D41 is a forever keeper.

Inlaid in stunning abalone pearl and appointed with gold tuners, it's more than a Dreadnought: it's an heirloom. Premium East Indian rosewood and spruce combined with hand-carved scalloped bracing to produce rich, powerful, complex tone. Also available in Sunburst and Ambertone finish.
